El proyecto de Dia de los Muertos
In my obituary I was trying to describe my mother the best way i could as a person. And describe what she liked to do in her life and describe how she became the person she way.
In the late 1800s and the early 1900s Josephe Guadalupe Posada decided to sketch out skeletons that represented a woman. Posada was the first to sketch the skeletons wearing contemporary clothes and become part of the day to day scenes. Calavera drawings were mostly drawn of women because in Mexico death is portrayed as a woman.
What I'm trying to portray in my calavera is portraying my mother as a calavera. We were given the task to choose a family member to write a poem about and describe them as a person but then have an ironic part where you describe how they died.
